Chris Marino has been appraising, selling, leasing, and developing commercial properties in Tallahassee since 1997. His career began with Boutin, Brown, Butler Appraisal Services, Inc., under the mentorship of William Butler, MAI, CRE. He gained his early real estate experience appraising commercial property.

During his appraisal career he valued over $100 million dollars in real estate including retail, hotel/motel, office and industrial properties. After his appraisal introduction he was recruited to work for The St. Joe Company as Senior Analyst. With St. Joe he worked in their land division valuing and developing residential projects from concept to realty with the first major project located in Panama City, FL. Other projects included St. Joe Company regional and national marketing campaign to promote the companies offerings in the Gulf Coast Region.

In 2003, he joined SouthLand Commercial as Managing Director with the responsibilities of overseeing the firms’ future growth and its efficient and effective use of technology. During his tenure as Managing Director, the company grew adding four seasoned real estate agents, while increasing annual sales by $10 million dollars per year. Additionally, Chris oversaw the hiring of a marketing coordinator and support staff to handle the increased volume of listings, projects and sales. Upon fulfilling the goals originally set as Managing Director he has recently transitioned to concentrate on commercial brokerage full time.

Marino is a two time Ironman finisher and competitive Category 3 and Masters 35+ road racer. He races in Florida and Georgia and consistently places within the top 20 riders in his class. His most recent project was recruiting and building his own Category 3 and Masters racing team, Gulf Coast Velo.
